Installation of the first spiral tube winding system in Austria


1959

Installation of the first 6-colour gravure printing system in Austria


1970-1980

1st expansion, Europe’s first robot-controlled cylinder warehouse


1989

Installation of exhaust purification and solvent recovery system


1994

ISO-9000 certification as the first company in the packaging industry in Austria


1999

2nd expansion; certification according to HACCP hygiene guidelines as the first company in the packaging industry in Austria


2000

Award for the most innovative SME in the Austrian packaging industry


2009

3rd expansion, Europe’s first high-bay warehouse of wood


2010

Purchase of a Kampf 2 Unicon cutting machine with installation of a central suction system, commissioning of an automatic colour-mixing system with 14 colour ink tanks


2013

Installation of new register controls with line inspection system for both gravure printing systems


2014

During the shift of ownership shares, GIKO Verpackungen GmbH has been operating completely independently since October 1, 2014. The former companies GIKO Kartonagen GmbH and GIKO Rundverpackungen GmbH merge under pratopac GmbH
